The nervous system controls all systems of the body. Abnormal function, and or position of the spinal joints has a significant effect on the nervous system, and thereby the entire health of the body.
Back pain, and neck pain are often symptoms of an abnormal spinal joint function. If left untreated these problems can lead to more serious conditions.
Chiropractic manipulation can help to restore normal position, and function to the spine, and related structures.
Optimum spinal health involves several factors: proper diet, adequate exercise, and periodic check ups.
The initial evaluation includes a health history, spinal exam, and cervical x-rays. After the x-rays are analyzed, regular treatments begin.
The goal of care is to correct the misalignment of the upper cervical spine until it stabilizes in its correct position thereby relieving neurologic irritation.
Most patients achieve initial results within the first two to four weeks of care, and continue to improve over the following weeks or months. Healing time varies depending on several factors including the age of the patient, severity of the condition, and the length of time the condition has been present. Each individual's care plan is specifically designed for his or her needs.
Chiropractic Facts
Government and university research studies show more people are choosing chiropractic care than ever before.
"Ninety percent of chiropractic patients felt their treatment was effective."
Gallup Organization Poll
"Relief of discomfort (low back pain) can be accomplished most safely with spinal manipulation, and/or non prescription medication."
U.S. Government Agency Report
"Chiropractic users tend to have substantially lower total health care costs."
American Health Policy Report
"For patients with low-back pain in whom manipulation is not contraindictated, chiropractic almost certainly confers worthwhile, long-term benefit in comparison with hospital outpatient management."
British Medical Journal
"Literature clearly and consistently shows that the major savings from chiropractic management come from fewer hospitalizations, and a highly significant reduction in chronic problems, as well as in levels and duration of disability."

Bursitis
Characterized by a dull, persistent ache that worsens with movement, (tendinitis typically causes sharp pain on movement), and often is accompanied by swelling, and fluid accumulation. It can be managed by not eating inflammatory causing foods such as red meat. Abstaining from overactivity, and getting plenty of rest and fluids is also beneficial.
Arthritis
Arthritis literally means fire in the joints. Regular chiropractic treatment along with proper diet, exercise, and supplements are beneficial.
Headache
Headaches are often due to tension in the neck, and shoulder muscles, stress, sublaxation in the neck, or a combination of each. We treat the cause, not just the symptoms.
Low Back Problems
Symptoms may include back pain, spasm, leg pain, numbness, burning and weakness.
Neck Problems
Neck pain or stiffness, persistent headache, arm pain/numbness or dizziness may be due to an old injury or sublaxation (pinched nerve). Regular chiropractic adjustments free-up the nervous system and aid in recovery.
Sciatica
An often crippling condition, sciatica manifests itself as leg pain, usually associated with low back pain, burning, numbness and/or weakness. Usually caused by disc problems, sublaxation, joint inflammation, or low back sprain/strain. Chiropractic care often eliminates the need for unnecessary surgery.
Stress
Stress can lead to weakness, and fatigue. Chiropractic care can help the body fight the negative effects of stress.
